Britney Spears has checked out of the Malibu Promises alcohol and drug treatment center after completing a month-long program..

The move came as it was reported that the singer was preparing to pay husband Kevin Federline millions of dollars in a divorce deal.

Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, said she had gone home “after successfully completing their program,” in a statement released by Jive Records.

“We ask that the media respects her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time,” the statement read

Spears, 25, entered the center on February 22 after a bout of bizarre behavior that included shaving her head, getting tiny lips tattooed on her wrist and beating a car with an umbrella.

She had gone into rehab twice in the week before she checked into Promises, but checked out each time after just 24 hours.

The Sun claims Spears is willing to drop the custody battle over her sons, Jayden James, six months, and Sean Preston, 18 months.

A source told The Sun “Everything changed when Britney went into rehab. She and Kevin started talking again and he’s been a tower of strength.”

The singer’s activities have drawn unpleasant attention since she filed for divorce from Kevin Federline in November.

The couple had been married for two years.

Spears married Federline eight months after abruptly ending a 55-hour Las Vegas marriage to her childhood friend, Jason Alexander.
